Hi there Dear Friends! I've missed you all soooo much, thank you for keeping in touch even though my posts have dwindled a bit over the last couple weeks. I'm still following my Reader daily, just not blogging as much.
This design was a freebie from my LNS which I adapted, kind of reminds me of my collecting passion, which is folk art, not sure why~but it does:) I forced myself to put my friend's initials on the back, to prevent the nasty temptation of keeping it all for myself ~ LOL. My friend who quilts and sews favors sunflowers and is having a birthday soon, hope she likes this token from a friend.
In this pic, I thought this pinkeep was finished. But my DMIL's gentle words that *every finish no matter how small, should be as nice as possible* kept nagging at me, it was crying out for * something*. She of course was spot on, as usual.
I was quite satisfied with the front, after changing the date from 2008 to 2009.
Can you see the slight difference after adding the little heart and garland to the back, a little nicer touch don't you think? Worked on Fiddlers 18 ct., WDW threads, filled w/crushed walnut shells. Perhaps I'll add a jute hanger so my friend can decide how she want to use this.
Thanks for taking the time to pop in and Sweet Stitchin to you:)
Tootles, Sue
