Hi there! Hoping you Americans had a grande Thanksgiving and can now get a bit of well deserved rest!
Did you cook WAY WAY WAY too much food and are wondering the next day why in the hell you did it to yourself? If so, then we're like minded:) Why DO we make all that work for ourselves and cook for an army when there's NOT one living in our homes ~LOL! I'm mental that way, I need to curb it and fast, real fast. Any cooks out there care to share why they DO IT?
Since turkey day comes but once a year, I really wanted to share my 'lil brother's bird from last year. I really think it's amazing and puts my piddly 'lil 12 pound bird to shame. He likes to eat good, fresh and wholesome foods, hence he's a really good cook, for a guy:) He's a good brother too, sometimes I feel sorry for him, having me for an older sister~ but not too sorry ~ LOL!
Jeff's bird, over 20 pounds:
Enjoy your day dear friends, thank you for visiting and Sweet Stitchin to you and you and you:)

~ INDULGENCE - A VERY GOOD THING ~
Hi there dear Stitchers:) Have been having great fun following your bloggies and making mental notes of all your wonderfully creative finishes. Hope you all have found some precious time to relax and stitch to your heart's content. After all, a day without the needle isn't really meant to be, is it?
Over the weekend I visited one of my most fav places, a gorgeous specialty shop called The Liberty Cottage in Canandaigua. Here's a peek of Suzanne's lovely shop~her wall of hand dyed wools, specialty fabrics of better quality, fibers and hand crafted folk art gifties are sublime and divine. Suzanne is a skilled needle and fiber worker, friend, tutor and generously welcomes one and all anytime to her large work table for an open stitch/punch/hook/whatever, you gotta love that! All this while running her shop, she's a real sweetie.
I slobbered and drooled over her luxurious silk even weaves and am thinking perhaps a wee Prairie Schooler tree would be lovely on silk. This silk from India is quite dear at almost $30./yard, the two below are a drab mustard and khaki drab green, wish they replicated better on screen. Plz wish me good luck with this first time project on silk~LOL:)
A little freebie finish from The Stitcherhood, Fiddlers 18 ct., GAST 7041 Apple Cider. My friend Olde Dame Penniwig thought maybe a dirty mustard floss, but in the end this color won my vote, more because of the time of the year and I just loved the name of it:) It's such a quick stitch though, I just might *borrow* The Olde Dame's mustardy color choice for the next one:)
Until next time, Sweet Stitchin....

~ THURSDAY FREEBIE SURPRISE ~
Hi dear fellow stitchers:) I've GOT to get this off my chest, so I hope you're all sitting down ~ I love my online stitching friends, in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Netherlands, and parts in between, near and far, so many warm, generous, enabling, sharing, helpful and wonderful souls! Even those of you dear sweeties who don't comment, we're stitchin sisters and I love your visits. I humbly thank each you for your kinship xoxo.
SO THERE ~ wanted to say that and put it out there ~ LOL!
If you've already seen this new freebie please do forgive, but I must share, juuuuuust in case one of you may have not yet seen this. She's simple and a real beauty, the color choices are endless and I really can't wait to start it. So unlike me. I'm not very impetuous, more of thinker/planner than a jumper, first born syndrome ~ LOL!
I hope you like this one HERE.
