Beautiful and slubby 32 count and as of this morning................. I'm stitchin on it ~ YAY! This breakthrough has been a looooong time coming, have been hoarding linen bit by bit for years, but never made the effort to stitch outside my comfort zone. This was my one stitchy goal for 2009 ~ CHECK!!!!!
Sincere thanks to my dear stitchy friend Janice in Irondequoit for her patient/gentle guidance and private lesson at our LNS. Janice knew just what it would take to push me over the edge, she ROCKS:)
Won't you please join me in celebration???
Hate to tattle and run, but if you'll now please excuse me.......... got to get back to my LINEN ~ LOL!
Sweet Stitchin....
Tootles, Sue
Hi there sweet friends, nice of you to stop by!
Prim and folkart needlework designs of drab reds, browns, golds and greens are what I fancy.
Let's share stitchin, sewin, nestin, cookin, collectin, prims, critters and a lovin' mishmash of sweet life...
Celebrating with you Sue! What design have you chosen to stitch?
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Sue! I just really started stitching on linen this year myself so you're not far behind :)
ReplyDeleteI guess today was the day! YA!! I am so proud of you! It looks like you are doing a wonderful job so far too!!
ReplyDeleteI will celebrate with you. I love linen slubs and all.
ReplyDeleteI'm so proud of you, Sue!
ReplyDeleteI like linen but I recall having to have a heavily padded special hoop due to the way the linen fibers can break so easy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased you are trying something new! It takes some getting used to but most stitchers are spoiled (lol) once they get "into" linen and evenweave! Have fun, Sue!
ReplyDeleteI also have a love to stich on Linen..although I havnt as yet...I bought some, but realise I may need a good light and magnifier! But one day I will stitch on it...ha,ha I look forward to seeing what you stitich.
ReplyDeletePriscilla x
Happy New Year!
