Hi there! What a splendid way to start the new collecting year ~ a very fine auction indeed! Wanted to share about a titillating upcoming auction on Jan. 15/16, 2010 at Pook and Pook Auction House outside of Philadelphia, PA. Samplers, furniture, folk art (drool), frakturs and many other fine pieces of approx 1,000 lots will be offered to the highest bidder.
So here you have it, see what 200 years can do for a piece of needlework! The auction house's server is swamped, if it's busy you can always try again:) Links are below.
Tootles, Sue
One lot being offered is a notable 1812 sampler, to view it and learn the estimated auction price, you can go HERE.
Another lot being offered is a fine 1775 Bargello Pocketbook HERE.
