Homespun Elegance

Hi there!  Many of you may recall the generous giveaway Sandra of Homespun Elegance held on her blog, her very sweet package arrived Saturday and now is proudly displayed on our harvest table.  When asked, she graciously autographed her chart for 'lil old me, somebody plz pinch me:)  My heart could never take the stimulation of attending Nashville, if ya know what I mean!

Thank you for the huge fun Sandra!  Gorgeous chart, tote bag, notebook and notecard ~ isn't *The Stitching Lady* collection divine!

So... does anyone else become positively giddy and swoon over *meeting* designers, or am I the only one?

And... what about that fabulous tote, I'm kind of afraid to actually use it ~ would you?

Thanks ever so much for stopping by, your visits are always treasured.

Tootles, Sue

PS:  I've long been wanting to stitch one of Sandra's colonial designs for a needlebook.  I may be posting down the road for referrals to see if any experienced finishers out there would be willing to assemble a needlebook for my stitching basket, if that's ok...  You'd make me go stand in the corner out in the cold barn no less, if you saw what I use now for a needlebook, sheesh...

  1. What a lovely gift Sue! congrats! I'm sure you'll put it all to good use, and yes, I would use the tote! LOL
When I had my shop yrs. ago, I met most of the designers in person and it was a huge thrill to talk w/them ~ better than a celebrity! LOL

    Have fun stitching!

  2. Ooh; great package from the Awesome Sandra! :D

Definitely use the tote--even if you have to force yourself lol! (That's what I'd do, and I'd totally have to make myself do it, too!)

Of course it's cool that she signed it for you! :)

  4. What a great prize, Sue--I can see why you are so excited! I'm one of those people who tends to save "special" things to use at a later time, but that time never seems to come. So I say please use the tote now while you can enjoy it :)

  11. That's such a wonderful prize you've won. I'd be like you, "afraid" to use the tote. But I have to echo previous comments - it's too much fun not to use!!!

I'm afraid that I'm in awe of all designers. Their talent just blows me away and while I know they are "just plain folk", I can't help myself. I respect them for what they do for us who want to use (in my case) my small talent!!!

  12. Hi Sue!
I saw you from my blog so I hopped over,
    Glad to be here,

LOVE this little set. I will have to check that out.

I am not a true stitcher, but love it enough to do some here and there - mostly do repro looking stuff to add to my primitive style home.

Great blog! and nice to "meet" you!

    Hugs,
    Kerri

  13. I've never met a designer but I know I'd be a grinning idiot if I did. So no. I wouldn't show my face at one of those events either. :)

How lucky to win such a great prize. You must have been a good girl!
