Shizam!

Hi Sweet Friends and New Followers!

If you haven't heard, there's a newly released Blogger feature allowing authors to reply ~ within ~ the comment section.

It'll save time not having to reply through email and all readers can view the author's reply ~ Sweet!

Check out how to verify/adjust your settings at Blogger Buzz at IT'S ABOUT TIME.

Maybe one of you could leave a comment here, so I can give it a try?

Tootles, Sue

  3. I think I am able to reply back on my blog. I like the idea of be able to do so. My question is does the person your replying to get sent an email of some sort letting them know you've replied to their comment?

    2. Of course I should have added this new feature is optional. For a private reply use email, for a public reply use comment section ~ your choice:)

  4. Not from this comment, but from the one you just left on my blog :) Thank you!!

  5. Too much for my menobrain! I'm still confused about all this, mainly because I rarely received a reply to comments I left on others' blogs. Then, some bloggers started replying by email. Others still not. I don't want to offend by not replying to a comment, but also don't want to email a reader if they prefer that I don't which may be why so many are "no reply"! We need a check box under comments that says "check here if it's OK to reply!"

  6. LOL @ Marly. I have to agree, I try to reply everyone that leaves a comment, but sometimes life gets in the way, and sometimes I get a bit frustrated to realize I've typed up and tried to send a reply, just to realize it went to "no reply @...."

This seems like a neat feature I'll have to check out, but I'm not sure I want to have to go back to every blog I've left a comment on to see if the author has responded. I have a hard enough time just keeping up with the new posts in my reader.

  7. I've been seeing that but didn't really pay much attention to it. Awesome!! Because there are times I want to reply publicly and privately to different people on the same post. Can you please reply to this comment so I can see how it works, see if I get an email that you replied?

Thanks for the tip Sue! =]

  8. Hmmm...there is one problem about that feature. How does the one you're replying directly to see your answer. Does he/she get an email sent automatically about that?
Because otherwise I won't ever see your answer. I don't subscribe on the comments of blogs. That would swamp my email box.
I see the blog updates in my google reader, visit the blog, admire the stitching, drool a bit, and comment. Then close the window.

  11. Okay, you were right. Your reply only showed here. But... I didn't subscribe by email so maybe if I do that now with this comment, your reply will show up.

But that doesn't help for the ones that don't subscribe. I wish there was a way for an email to be sent when there was a reply just to your own comment. I guess that's asking too much, lol!
