~ THE SEWING MACHINE ~

You know, that thing some of us have a love/hate relationship with ~ lol!  I recently discovered there are a  number of stitchers whose stitching is exemplary, yet they never learned how to use a sewing machine.  Silly Dilly me, assuming that if one can stitch, one can sew.

So... I added a 5 day poll to my toolbar, will you please share your feedback with the rest of us?  It might be fun to see the results, not for any particular reason, just for the heck of it.

Thx for popping in dear readers:)

  1. I'm one of those "sort of" people! I can follow a very basic pattern and I can stitch up a pillow. Although I did have to frog my last pillow as I placed right side to wrong side and merrily stitched it together ~ sheesh!

  2. I'm one of those people that I think that I'm somewhat advanced. Only through trial and error. I made my first skirt in Home Ec years ago and wouldn't have been caught dead in it. But you have to want to learn. Some people are into it, and some people aren't. It takes a lot of patience sometimes.

  3. I'm a quilter also so I guess I know my way around a sewing machine. Unfortunately, that just makes two very expensive hobbies that I like to collect "stuff" for...LOL

  4. I used to quilt in my past life. I'd love to get back to it. Before I started quilting, I had no idea what I was doing. I won't tell you how long it took me to figure out that I needed to put the thingie down onto my fabric--the feed dog or the presser dog or something or other. See, don't even know what it's called. LOL I do want to get back to it, though.

  5. I can stitch but definitely can't sew-my finishes were all by hand.
