~ ATTN: STACY NASH FANS ~

Hi there!  If you're one of my sweet followers, it must have at least a little bit to do with primitive design.  In a couple days (January 31st, 2010) Stacy Nash is retiring a good number of her designs, which means if you've been stalling on purchasing her 'lil beauties, you might want to visit her site before then.  I was just there and it looks like her new designs are going up to $10.

Well, that's all, just a 'lil tidbit in case you hadn't heard.  Please have a gentle stitchy day my friends:)

~ Embroidered Linen Bag ~

Hi there!  It's snowin and blowin here.  The crockpot is workin on Santa Fe Chicken with a deep earthy helping of spices and chipotle peppers to warm the evening and this afternoon Mr. Singer will be here for visit to help with several 2010 finishes that need loving attention:)

Before all that, I wanted to share with you my joy at finding this from yesterday's thrift store visit.  A sweet little hand embroidered/finished bag on linen, white cotton lined with a small pocket inside, not a mark on it anywhere, pristine condition.  I added the floss to give a better idea of size.  Was thinkin it would make a sweet place to store some, can you guess ~ LINEN ~ LOL!  There's no closure on it but, who among us would have left this 'lil ditty behind with a price tag of  95 cents on it?  I don't embroider, so this find was a thrill. You can click on pics to enlarge them if you wish.  Oh, and I found a BOAF for 20 cents, all in all, it was a very sweet day for a stitcher:)

Thank you so very much for poppin in.  Please be well, warm and stitch to your heart's content.  It's been proven our souls are much more well satiated when we feed them with our passion, and we wouldn't want to disagree would we!

Oh, and my sincere gratitude to those of you who offered help yesterday in my quest for BOAF Meadow Lark linen.  I couldn't personally reply to all as some comments were *no reply*, but none the less I appreciate your kindness.

Will share some small linen finishes in the near future:)

~ DO YOU STITCH ON LINEN? ~

Hi there!

As some of you know, the last week of December '09 I started stitching on linen and of course am LOVING it!  A couple of my charts are screaming to be stitched on a primitive type linen.

I don't intend to raid anyone's stash, BUT if you don't stitch anymore or would simply like to make some mad money and know your linen will be used ~ I'd be grateful to purchase:

BOAF Meadow Lark linen, prefer 36 ct., but 32 CT. would be suitable.

Does anyone know if this can be purchased new?  If so, who is reputable?

Here's where I am:  stitchinsweetsue@gmail.com

Thx for stopping in dear friends, Sweet Stitchin and Tootles for now...

~ FIRST FINISHES 2010 ~

Hi there and Happy New Year to all! Remember my last post about stitching on linen for the first time? Thx to each of you who commented and encouraged me to blunder ahead:) Well... here are my FIRST linen finishes-YAY! Why oh why did I wait so long....

Had fun experimenting on this one with a new floss too. Adapted from Sue Hillis' *Merriest Christmas*, JCS 2008 ornie issue. 32 ct. Belgian linen, color natural. DMC *linen* floss, drabby green, 2 over 2. I like this effect of linen on linen. Linen floss is more like stitching with very fine jute, nice and slubby.

Adapted from La D Da's *Merry Christmas*, JCS 2009 ornie issue, 32 ct. Belgian linen, color natural. DMC 400, 2 over 2.

Looks like 2010 is gonna be a great stitchy year for me, the newest member of The Linen Club~LOL!

Thx for taking the time to pop in during this hectic time of reorganizing after the Christmas rush. I hope you enjoyed your visit here as much as I enjoyed sharing:)
